How would you feel if an ancient god from Egypt inhabited you? What if that same god gave you even more magical powers than you already had? And what if you could shape-shift? For Sadie and Carter Kane, all these “ what if’s” are a reality.

Sadie and Carter are brother and sister. Sadie lives in England with her grandparents and Carter travels the world (but mostly stays in Egypt) with his (and Sadie’s) dad. Their dad is only allowed to visit Sadie twice every year. It is during one of these visits that Sadie and Carter’s world gets turned upside-down. To start it off, they get stalked by a mysterious man, their dad blows up the Rosetta stone and releases a bunch of gods, gets shut in a coffin with one of these gods, and disappears into the floor. Talk about a merry Christmas. Then Sadie and Carter find out a very shocking truth and go on a quest that could save the world…

The Red Pyramid is an awesome book! I give it six out of five stars! If you like suspense, mystery, hilarious characters and the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series then you will love this book! I could not put it down, even when I got yelled at by my mom! If you are hooked on this book after my description, then read it! It is seriously one of the best and funniest books you will ever read!
