Do magical creatures really exist? If you drink magic cow’s milk they do. When Kendra and her brother Seth are forced to go to their mysterious grandparents house in the middle of nowhere they are tested to the limits to see if they can save their grandfather’s secret magical preserve Fablehaven. Fablehaven is one of the last magical preserves left, but Kendra and Seth don’t realize this until they solve their grandpa’s puzzle. When they do Fablehaven comes alive! Butterflies, ladybugs, bees and dragonflies are secretly fairies in disguise. Secret ponds and passages are all over Fablehaven. There are dangerous ogres, power wrenching centaurs, and conniving satyrs. But not all is safe! When an evil witch is freed Kendra must gather all her courage and join forces with a powerful ally to save her grandparents, brother and all the mythical creatures that reside in Fablehaven.

Fablehaven was an excellent book, I gobbled it up, it was so full of suspense. Kendra and Seth had countless people’s lives in their hands. I would recommend the whole Fablehaven series to anyone who enjoys fantasy.
